The Albert Schweitzer Tournament has been held in even numbered years in Mannheim, Germany since 1958. The United States has won the most titles (10) but has not won it since 1996. Notable tourney alums include Magic Johnson, Vince Carter, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Tony Parker. The tournament, considered an unofficial youth world championship for the under-18 age group, is well attended by scouts and fans—upwards of 30,000 spectators are expected over the course of the event.
